Main Lab InstructorI teach the 7th and 8th grade language arts classes in the Main Lab of SSLC and sponsor the incoming 7th and 8th grade students. I am also Kristi McKinney’s aide for the science courses. Additionally I work with Julia Velasquez as Activities Director for all three schools: SSLC, La Luz, and SPLC.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education from Northern Arizona University and am working on a Masters of Education through the University of Phoenix. I have had the wonderful opportunity to teach elementary, middle, and high school language arts and drama classes in a variety of educational settings across four different states: Arizona, Ohio, Texas, and now New Mexico.
In SSLC we use the E2020 online curriculum for all of our courses including language arts. This rigorous curriculum, augmented by novel projects, prepares the 7th and 8th grade students to exceed the required state standards.
