6th Grade InstructorI team teach sixth grade with Doug Gillis. He teaches science and math; I teach language arts and social studies. For rotations on Fridays I team teach in Smart Lab.
Sixth grade language arts is taught with the Harcourt textbook and supplementary materials covering literature, grammar, writing, spelling and vocabulary.
Sixth grade social studies covers World History and is taught using the Harcourt textbook and materials to examine the major periods in history.
I graduated from the University of New Mexico with Bachelors in History and Performing Arts and a Masters in History. I am certified K-12 in Language Arts and Social Studies. I have been with Southwest Learning Center since it opened in 2001!
