Southwest IntermediateSouthwest Intermediate provides students with an innovative educational experience for grades 7–8 that is unlike any other in the state of New Mexico. Combining the best of both traditional classroom instruction and high tech computer-based curriculum, the school guides students toward course mastery, complemented by our dedicated staff of educational professionals.
In addition, students are provided with hands-on exploration of the Southwest Learning Centers Smart Lab and participate in regular community-based activities, giving Southwest Intermediate students a real-world education that fully prepares them for the challenges they will face in their life-long educational pursuits.
The goals for Southwest Intermediate Learning Center is to prepare students to become self-motivated, self-controlled, independent, competent, life-long learners and productive members of society. Southwest Intermediate Learning Center students will be equipped with the reading, writing, mathematical, technological and problem-solving skills necessary for success in secondary, post-secondary and personal career choices.
The mission of the Southwest Intermediate Learning Center is to utilize blended learning, traditional and community-based instruction in an accelerated academic curriculum to sustain a high-performing learning community.
