In The News.
In response to a request made by US Representative Martin Heinrich to our schools, students from both Southwest Primary and Southwest Intermediate Learning Center handmade more than 200 Holiday Cards to send to our troops fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq. Many students made up to 10 cards each for the extra credit project. The stories highlighted the difficulties experienced by soldiers and their families during the holiday season and the joy that letters from home bring to them.
