(Note---The PAC will continue under the title "National Tournament of Academic Excellence or NTAE.")

The National Tournament of Academic Excellence is a prestigious academic competition held in Disney World each summer. One team from each state competes for scholarship money and prizes at the three-day competition sponsored by Disney and other organizations.

A team from SSLC has been selected to compete for the last six years. Teams are selected based on their performance in state competitions and the academic caliber of team members.

In order to participate in the National Tournament of Academic Excellence, students must:

Participate in school activities
Be successfully progressing in classes
Be on-track for graduation
Be willing to compete as a team
Complete an application (watch for deadline)
Be recommended by faculty and administration
Be chosen by the NTAE Selection Committee
Attend practices
